Would you like to see my Studio?

Hello my friends, how are you?

Now February is here, I want to show you my studio space!

Of late, there is a lot of distress, turmoil, and (needed) protests around the World. How can one man, in the first weeks of his presidency, create so much chaos?

Today, I wanted to show you the place where I create my illustrations and the place that brought me calm, and tranquillity. I hope it does for you too.

IMG_5151.JPGIt’s a desk space *technically* in the dining room, and made it into a relaxed and creative workspace. From an unused dining room to a makeshift workspace and dining area – it doesn’t look too shabby. Does it?

You might recognise a few things if you watch my Instagram stories or live videos. Some artworks here, are my originals from my Inktober challenge on Instagram and World Dance series.

This is where I spend most of my days and nights at. Yes, that is a working wall clock! The postcards on the walls change from time to time, depending on my mood. I really like the muted pastels composed with the vibrant colours at the moment.

junesees-work-studio-deskpace-1-001Like any workspace, I have a sense of routine here – I have my notepads to doodle my ideas or brain-dump my thoughts. The wall is also a dry-erase whiteboard too! So I can write any important notes or dates down.

To be honest, my desk is a lot messier than this! I’ll put my sketches, works-in-progress up, current projects on the wall.

Making the decision to give up the shared studio and work from home, I can now say that working from home is the best thing for me. I hope this inspired you to work from home or create your own little studio space.

Thanks to Chloe Pierre LDN for featuring me on her blog post.

Where do you do your creative projects?
Do you work from home or in a shared studio?

I would love to know and see where you work 🙂

Exhibiting at Nonsuch Wedding Fair

My friends, I did it! Yesterday I exhibited my illustrations and wedding stationery at the Nonsuch Wedding Fair.

If you ever get to visit Cheam Village – my hometown. You have to visit Nonsuch Mansion.

*Mini fist bump* I did it! I exhibited my Illustration and Stationery at Nonsuch Wedding Fair! One of the popular South London Wedding Venues. With all the florists, wedding cakes and the harp setting up – I (partly) wished I was getting married again! The Wedding Fair occupied three stately rooms and it was an intimate affair. It didn’t feel like an overwhelming trade fair, I much prefer this smaller arrangement.I love hearing the couples’ proposal story. Some only got engaged three days ago! I enjoyed chatting to couples soon-to-be-wed; I know actually how they feel! Rob and I managed to plan a wedding within 6/7 months.  I supposed we never stopped working. Our wedding was a family contribution. We all worked extremely hard to fulfil our big day. Mum owns a Thai Restaurant, ‘Songkran’ in the village – she did the catering. Dad arranged flowers and my bouquet. Speaking of which, Dad arranged the flowers for my table at the fair. You can see them in the photos, what do you think?

I displayed my own Wedding invitation of the Tiger and Rabbit, custom rubbers stamps and Wedding portraits. Couples loved the Wedding fan program I’ve created for mine and Rob’s day on the last hottest day of 2013.

I love creating bespoke and personalised Wedding Stationery that reflects on the Bride and Groom’s love story. The Wedding Stationery should be a keepsake to cherish and celebrate a new chapter in their lives. I had many positive comments, I appreciated every one of them.

Wedding Stationery like mine is truly unique; many local couples and customers haven’t seen anything like it. For that reason,  I’m glad I broke the mould. Robert, my hubby, was there to support me as always and tell the couples of our love story. During the fair, Rob and I did reminisce about our Big Day and how quickly time has flown since we were visitors at a Wedding fair.

I was never short of inspiring and talented business owners! To be honest, I didn’t eat very much and I was running on adrenaline and cake samples!

Next to me was James Taylor, a musician and solo singer. John Harris Wedding Films, whose video footage are so beautiful, wished I hired them for my wedding! Of course, there was beautiful floral arrangement from seasoned florists, harpist, pianist, Casino roulette, vintage cars, huge lighting props and a toastmaster! He looked very dapper.

It was a lovely day and everyone was in good spirits. I’m happy I did it! It was a good learning experience for me and it’s lovely to know that my hometown and local people supported me.

Thank you to all the Couples. Congratulations personally from me and Rob for your Big Day.

Wishing you the smoothest and stress-free Wedding planning.

Please send me an email – if you have any questions. I’m happy to help
